The idea

What a Weave is

Every conversation on Mindfuse of a minute or more becomes a Weave.

It is drawn from the shape of the moment: two voices taking turns, the pauses between them, the hour on each side of the world and how many conversations you have had.

It is never made from what was said. Calls are not recorded.

So two people who talk for twenty minutes across six time zones get a different Weave from two people who laugh for an hour at midnight. Each one belongs to its conversation.

The styles

Five styles, one conversation at a time

A 1 of 1 gets its style from the conversation itself, so you do not pick it: you discover it. Each pair below is the same style drawn from two example conversations, one lively and one calm with long silences.

Totality

A total eclipse in a calm sky. The corona is your conversation, read clockwise from twelve, and the moment you were both at your brightest becomes the diamond ring.

Nocturne

How it is made

Made from the conversation, never from its words

While you talk, the app follows how loud each voice is from moment to moment. That is all it listens for. From it, a Weave reads:

  • Your two voices. Who speaks when, how often you hand the conversation back and forth, and the moments you both talk or laugh at once.
  • The rhythm and the silences. Quick exchanges, long stories and the quiet in between.
  • Time and sky. How long you talked, the hour for each of you and, in some styles, the real phase of the moon that night.
  • Your journey. Whether this was your first conversation, your tenth or your hundredth.
  • Founding Members. Their Weaves carry a gold Founding trait.

What never goes into a Weave: audio, words, names, phone numbers or where anyone is. Calls are not recorded, and nobody can hear or work out what was said from a Weave. Read the details in our privacy policy.

After the call

Keep it, hang it, share it

A standard Weave open in the Mindfuse app, with the line Sunday night for you, Monday night for them, 28 minutes, India, and a private note: we both knew the same old song. Below it, the buttons Hang in your world, Edit note, Replay and Share.
  • Keep every Weave. Each one is saved to your account, and you can delete any single Weave whenever you like.
  • Hang it in Your World. Choose the Weaves you love most and hang them in the sky around you: 3 places for everyone, 12 with Premium.
  • Watch it again. Replay the moment your Weave is drawn, stroke by stroke.
  • Add a note. Write a private line to remember the conversation by. Only you can see it.
  • Share it. Send it as a short video of the Weave being drawn, or as an image.

What is a Weave?

A Weave is the artwork Mindfuse makes from a conversation. After every conversation of a minute or more, you get one, drawn from the way you and the other person talked: the rhythm of your two voices, the silences, the time of day for each of you and where the conversation sits in your journey.

What is a 1 of 1 Weave?

A 1 of 1 Weave is a Premium Weave: a unique artwork in one of five styles (Totality, Nocturne, The Thread, Contour or Herbarium), composed from that one conversation. No other Weave will ever look the same.

What do I get without Premium?

Every conversation still gets a Weave: the standard Weave, your voice and theirs as two threads of light twisted into one rope across the night sky. Your very first Weave on Mindfuse, your First Light, is a 1 of 1 for everyone.

Can I choose the style of my Weave?

No, and that is part of the joy. Each 1 of 1 gets its style from the conversation itself when it is made, so you discover it when the Weave appears.

Is my conversation recorded to make the Weave?

No. Calls are not recorded. A Weave is made from how loud each voice was from moment to moment, never from audio or words, together with the time, the length of the call and how many conversations you have had. Nobody can hear or work out what was said from it.

Do my older Weaves change when I get Premium?

No. Each Weave is decided when it is made and kept exactly as it is. From the moment you have Premium, every new conversation becomes a 1 of 1.

Can I share a Weave?

Yes. You can share any Weave as a short video of it being drawn, or as an image. You can also hang your favourites in Your World, replay them and add a private note that only you can see.

How much does Premium cost?

Mindfuse starts with two weeks free and unlimited, then 3 free conversations every week. Premium gives unlimited conversations and a 1 of 1 Weave from every conversation.
